Quranic, Islamic, and Arabic subjects - Overview:

These are some of the great virtues and goals that makes Visions High offer a strong, level appropriate curriculum to teach and instill in our students these three valuable subjects.
Our courses are designed for students between the ages of 11 and 16. Every student will begin from level one in all three subjects. The core foundations will be taught in the first three years, and more advanced classes will be offered for our students who continue.
The role of the Teachers
Our teachers will be available for contact by email and through the online portal. During live sessions, teachers will be primarily involved in guiding the students in learning the course material, correcting their mistakes, and answering their questions.
The role of the Parents
The parents play an important role to play to encourage and check the work and progress of their children at this delicate age. This will involve acting as a supporter, motivator, friend, and advisor.
Level 1 Quran
Students will learn the essentials on how to recite the Glorious Quran with the rules of Tajweed. They will:
- Recognize some of the virtues of the Quran.
- Learn to recite Surat al-Fatihah and the last 10 surahs of the Quran with the basic rules of Tajweed.

Level 1 Islamic Studies
Students will take an introduction to various Islamic fields including Islamic belief (belief in Allah and the Angels), Fiqh, the Life (seerah) of the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, and the meanings of some short surahs of the Quran. Students will learn concepts in each of these fields, and learn how to apply these concepts and meanings in their daily lives.

- Fiqh: Selections from Umdat al-Fiqh by Ibn Qudamah.
- Seerah: Selections from When the Moon Split, by Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri
- Tafseer: Selections from Islamic Studies Book 1, by Dr. Bilal Philips.
Level 1 Arabic
In the first semester, the students will learn how to read Arabic through a famous book that phonics for Quranic Arabic. They will learn to recognize and recite the letters, then words that have all the different vowels, through a systematic, step-by-step methodology. By the end of the semester, the students should be able to read words from the Quran as well as simple Arabic books that have the vowels (harakahs) written.
In the second semester, the students will begin his/her journey of learning Arabic through the first level of the famous Arabic series for non-Arabs called Al-Arabiyya Bayna Yadayk (Units 1-8). Students will practice conversation drills and learn new vocabulary in the context of various themes. They will strengthen their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through the different themes that the book provides.
Themes of the semester: Greetings, family, homes, daily life, food and drink, prayer, studying, and working.
